Neurodivergent Adult Therapy
Virtual therapy for ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD in California and British Columbia
Therapy That Actually Works for Neurodivergent Adults
If you’ve spent your whole life trying to mask, fit in, or decode what the hell people expect of you, therapy can feel like:
Being studied under a microscope
Getting vague “just meditate more” advice
Or being gaslit by a smiling wellness coach
We hated that, too.
At Transparent Talk Therapy, we take a direct, honest, and practical approach to working with neurodivergent adults (ADHD, autism, AuDHD, and all the beautifully unique neurotypes in between). Our goal is to help you navigate relationships, learn to unmask, and find sustainable ways to function that actually work for your brain.
What Neurodivergent Therapy Looks Like with Us
Our sessions are direct, transparent, and collaborative. No cryptic nodding or therapy riddles. We talk openly, get curious, and often end up laughing about the weird, frustrating, and exhausting parts of life as a neurodivergent adult.
We can help you:
Navigate executive dysfunction, burnout, and masking fatigue
Understand your unique sensory and emotional wiring
Build routines and relationships dynamics that actually work for your brain
Process the grief of late-diagnosis or lifelong misunderstanding
Find humor and self-compassion in the hard stuff
Our Approach for Neurodivergent Adults
We adapt to your brain, not the other way around. Therapy with us is about practical support, emotional validation, and finding tools that feel like they actually fit your life.
We draw from:
• Narrative therapy (telling your story on your own terms)
• Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work, like Inside Out but for adults)
• Trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming care
• Humor and honesty that cut through the BS
No toxic positivity or fake wellness vibes.

What if I’m demand avoidant and hate therapy and everything you say?
You wouldn’t be the first! You don’t have to sugarcoat anything with us. If something isn’t working, say it the way your brain thinks it. We’ll adjust, experiment, and figure out an approach that actually feels tolerable and hopefully even helpful.
FAQs
Do I have to turn my camera on for virtual sessions?
Camera off is fine. Walking around your house is fine. Sitting under a blanket is fine. We want therapy to be comfortable and accessible.
Will therapy just be the same advice I’ve already heard?
Nope. If “just set an alarm” or “try deep breathing” actually worked, you wouldn’t be here. We look at your patterns, try evidence‑based strategies informed by lived experience, and adapt everything to be realistic and sustainable for your brain.
